Hello Marisa. Veneers are thin porcelain coverings that are bonded (glued) over your existing teeth in order to improve the colour, shape or position of your existing teeth. Veneers can last for 10-20 years, sometimes longer if certain conditions are met. Some of the condition are: 1.veneers have to be bonded correctly to the tooth surface. 2. the design of the veneers are important 3. veneers should not be overstressed in occlusion. 4. oral health and hygiene have to be kept at a high standard. 3.regular follow-up appointments to a dentist. There are other criteria, but these are just a few to consider. Give us a call, if you would like to have more information. Michael Teiniker. |
