Hi Kate. The tooth is probably devitalised, as it has a metal pin in it. The dentist would take an x-ray to determine the stability and health of the surrounding tissue. If the tooth can be used, the top is filed down and a new core is made. A crown can then be placed on top. If the x-ray shows an abscess or perhaps the tooth is loose, the treatment may require specialist care or perhaps an extraction. We'll be happy to have a look and give you a few options. You can register online and we'll call you. |
