Hi Candace. Once the glazed surface is removed, you will never get it back unless the ceramic is reglazed at a high temperature. This is not an option, because the veneers have been bonded to your teeth. The only way to make them look glossy is by polishing them up correctly. Here is one technique. To get rid of the rough surface, a flexi disks is used, followed by a rubber wheel. A bristle brush with pumice is used to smooth the surface even further and then a diamond polishing paste will obtain a high shine. The downside of doing this is that the surface topography of the veneer is polished away, which means that light will not scatter in many different directions as young natural teeth do. The surface will be smooth and the veneer may not look as natural as it should do. The upside is that you will have a result that may be pleasing and you may not need to replace the veneers. Regards Michael.
