Hi Elaina! When I think of a single upper front crown, I think lots of work…. Especially, if you have a smile that shows everything and you have the highest expectation. This is because the upper front tooth has to be a mirror image of its neigbour. If this is not achieved, it will look false. Say for instance the colours are really complex; incisal grey, blue, internal cracks, orange effects etc, it can take more than one session to get it right. We use photos as a guide, but trial and error in the mouth is sometimes necessary. You may be lucky and the colour is a standard shade. Material choice is also important, because tooth material has different optical properties to porcelain. Some patients opt to have crowns on both front teeth to make them alike. Patients have to understand these difficulties and are required to work with us 100% to get this perfect. The cost for a “lava 3M” crown at the moment is $1460, but a complex front crown may be $2200. At times, each porcelain layer is fired in the furnace and then checked in the mouth. The crown then grows like a pearl until it eventually it becomes whole. We will be able to tell you the level of complexity when we see you. Please feel free to make a booking. |
