Going to Designer smiles changed my life. I wish I had gone sooner. I had always hated the way my teeth looked and didn't realize it could take less than two weeks to have the smile of my dreams. The dentistry work I had done was pretty major with 22 of my teeth being crowned. All throughout the process from start to finish I felt very relaxed and in good hands with the Team of Wolfgang and Michael, the ceramists and the amazing Cosmetic Dentist Doctor Clarence Tam . Clarence kept me highly informed on the process from start to finish and being the most careful and gentle dentist in the world he made me feel very calm and safe and made the whole experience highly pleasurable.

The fact that They make your teeth on site is a real bonus, these guys are genuine artists, they make perfect, natural looking teeth. They are perfectionists with an eye for detail and as such deliver astounding results.
All other cosmetic dentists I met prior would use the same lab to make teeth, so everyone ends up with these cookie cutter fake looking smiles.
At designer smiles they do what they say, they design a smile around you and work with you until you achieve a result that you are happy with.

I was scared I would end up looking like Tony Robbins, thank god I had the foresight to call designersmiles for a consultation.

Thank you for your caring, patience, and most of all your expertise!!! Oh how I love to smile now!!!...and that's all thanks to Clarence and Michael and their wonderful team at Designer Smiles. 

Since I was a teenager I'd hated the gaps and discolouration of my upper front teeth (caused by a car accident) and envied all those around me with beautiful smiles. 

Then while at the Girls Day Out this year I saw the Designer Smiles display and wondered if, at 38 yrs of age, it would be possible to have one of those beautiful smiles myself. So I decided to take the leap and go and see what they could do for me. I bowled on up to Designer Smiles asking them to perform what I thought was a miracle. Just to add to this demand, I then informed them that I wanted this transformation completed in only 3 weeks as I was off on a cruise and wanted to feel good about smiling in all the photos that I knew would be taken. Well, they completely rose to the challenge...replacing old metal fillings, performing a tricky root canal, whitening my bottom teeth with Brite Smile and fitting 8 beautiful upper crowns all in time for my trip! I had always been afraid of the dentists but after my first consultation with Clarence I knew I was in good hands and trusted him completely. The wonderfully friendly Suzanne and Lauren were there to greet me with a smile every visit and they just had a way of making me feel special. 

Michael did a fantastic job of making my crowns and I constantly get comments from friends on how natural they look....and new people that I meet don't even notice that they are anything other than my natural teeth...which, to me, is the ultimate compliment. Being a singer, and performing in Musical Theatre, appearance unfortunately can be a big thing and having a great smile has made such a difference to my confidence. It has surprised me how different I feel on stage, knowing that when I open my mouth for those big notes the audience just sees a set of great teeth and not metal fillings, gaps and discolouration... and you can guarantee that I'm the one with the biggest smile at curtain call now. 

It truly is amazing what a difference it has made to so many little things in my life. So...thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those at Designer Smiles who contributed to making my dream come true. I will think of you all every time I'm told what a lovely smile I have! Hi, my name is Kay Rennie.  I am a 33-year-old full time mother of two little girls and I was the fortunate winner of the free Brite Smile from Designer Smiles.  I won this prize at the Girls Day Out.  As I had never won anything before I was a bit sceptical as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing when the Designer Smiles team phoned me with the news, I almost didn’t believe them!!

After that amazing phone call I went in to meet the team and to have a dental check up and a clean.  They were all so friendly; it was great to meet them.  I was so excited about having the teeth whitening done as it were one of my goals to do before getting back out into the workforce.  I wanted to do this to give me some confidence.

It has now been about two weeks after having my teeth whitened and I am amazed at the difference of how they look.  I have a clean, bright, white smile and I am so happy with the results.  I have had many positive comments from my family and friends; they all think that the results are great too.

I just wanted to extend a huge Thank You to Michael, Wolfgang, Aaron, Anna and the whole team at Designer Smiles. My lower front teeth were in a terrible – extremely loose and with the gum receding and being the terrible nervous coward I am I put off going to see an expert for as long as possible! Everybody at Designer Smiles was absolutely amazing – putting me at my ease and offering me a solution to give me back my smile and confidence.  It was a real team effort and no effort was spared in putting me at my ease and making sure that I was consulted every step of the way as to what procedure would be done down to the colour of the bridge. It was so reassuring to know that Michael and Wolfgang – who actually sculpture and make the bridges and crowns on the premises – are so close to hand and make such a huge effort to put patients at their ease and make it as enjoyable an experience as is possible in the circumstances! Thank you for the fantastic work your team did on my teeth.  I've carried this dental problem since the age of 11 when I was hit by a speeding (probably drunk) driver.  Both previous occasions that I have had work done on this problem have yielded less than satisfactory results.

At 24 years old I spent most of my days very depressed about my teeth, I never smiled, I didn't like talking to people in fear they would see my teeth, I couldn't eat most things as my teeth were so bad the pain would be unbearable. Every single one of my top teeth and three bottom teeth were badly decayed and broken (not a pretty sight). I have tried for the past three years and paid a lot of money for dentists to look at my teeth and tell me only one thing PULL THEM OUT, well I couldn't bear the thought at my age of having to have false teeth it was so upsetting to me... but it was getting to the point I couldn't even eat soft foods - so I had to act.. and I was searching on the internet and came across this website.. they were my last chance so I travelled all the way from Invercargill to see them... very nervous (I thought they would tell me the same thing all the rest had said PULL THEM OUT)... How wrong was I... immediately they started working on my teeth and letting me know the options available to me... so I chose to have caps and told them that I could only be here a week, they started at 4am, they all missed their lunches just to help me smile again... and four days later I could smile... the best smile I've ever had. I cant stop smiling now... I am back to myself... I am laughing and talking to everybody... and I haven't stopped eating! How wonderful and exciting it is to have teeth! My smile was always something I've been very self conscious of - I've always hated having my photograph taken and would rarely smile for the camera. My teeth were tilted and slightly discoloured. They made me very unhappy.

The team at Designer Smiles gave me back my self confidence with the veneers they created. Now I can't stop smiling and having a photograph taken is something that happens without a second thought. In August 2006, I attended the Designer Smile clinic with a view to have cosmetic dental work on my upper teeth.

As a child growing up in the country areas where no fluoride was available, or even the fact that fluoride could help young teeth grow more strongly, I had a lot of trouble with my teeth. Consequently, as an adult over the years with many fillings later I had a mouthful of amalgam and porcelain fillings which had considerably darkened and discoloured my teeth to the point where smiling for photos was a nightmare. It is surprising how you can try to shape your smile and not show many teeth.

As a health professional myself, I am aware that services are not always what they should be. From my first contact with Designer Smiles, I have been impressed with their professionalism and their helpfulness. I made a long journey to get to Auckland to have a consult for the work, and they made the whole afternoon available for me.  There were more problems discovered during my initial dental work, with a lot of new cavities discovered lurking around old fillings. The upshot would have been 9 more fillings having to be replaced.

I elected to have my upper teeth crowned, removing any future surprises with fillings that were getting old and discoloured.

It was a big job, and I have only the best reports on the work done for me. I was in the chair for over 8 hours and Dr Luke and his assistant were very professional and considerate.

The finished job was beautiful. The teeth shaped to copy my originals made a very natural smile, and they were so clean and bright, not the least bit artificial.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending their work to anyone as they have always been friendly, helpful and very professional, with the end result more than I had hoped for.

My journey with Designer Smiles started with a free consultation, as I knew that I wanted to get something done to change my smile, but I had no idea what I needed, the process, or how much it would cost.  Clarence and Michael both sat down with me for over an hour explaining different options, procedures, and how the results would look.  After leaving the consultation I felt completely informed and ready to start the process of getting a new smile!  Over the next few weeks I had 3 appointments to get my teeth whitened, prepped and then the final stage - 6 new veneers.  During these appointments Clarence kept me fully informed of what was happening and other than occasional sensitivity there wasn't really much pain at all.  All of these appointments we done right at the end of the day meaning that I was not having to take time away from work and I received a follow up call after each appointment to make sure that everything was OK.  

 Overall I had a wonderful experience with the team at Designer Smiles and I am so much more confident with my new smile!
